LEARN ABOUT ANTIQUES

Have Bob speak on antiques for your group or organization or...

Why not offer a course?

ALL ABOUT ANTIQUES is that course.
All About Antiques
The Antiques Roadshow has everyone buzzing about antiques–so much so that people often become confused and think every old item is valuable. This course shows the differences between antiques and collectibles, as well as how to buy, sell, collect and display them. An overview of antiques from 1830 to 1910 covering furniture, ceramics, glassware, and silver will show students what to look for in antique shops and in their home.

This is what course participants will learn:

An introduction to collecting antiques.
What is an antique?
The difference between antiques and collectibles.
Determining an object’s value.
How to shop for antiques.

Followed by three antiques surveys:
(only in 3 and 4-week versions)

1. Furniture from 1830-1910
2. Pottery and Porcelain
3. Glass & Silver

And last, but not least, a show and tell of objects brought
to class by participants to demonstrate what they learned.

This course is available in 2, 3, or 4-week versions in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area.
